Portrait Guide
Memorable portraits take careful planning. During the pre-session consultation , we will discuss all the important details that will make your portrait special such as location, style, and clothing. Clothing selection is the number one question that clients ask us. The goal is to direct the viewer's eye to the face or faces in a portrait. For individuals, simple tops in solid colors are best. Bold stripes and prints do not photograph well. In a family group, careful clothing selection makes the difference between a portrait that appears to be unrelated individuals to one in which every member of the family "belongs" to the group. We will be more than happy to answer any questions that you have about your portraits.
