When I met Amy, she mentioned that she had never had a professional photographer take their family's portrait. She also mentioned that her daughter
Noelle did not have portraits take last year when she received her First Communion. To prepare for the portrait session, Amy and I talked about
clothes selection, time of day, and picture products. At first Amy thought she wanted to give her Mother a book from the session, but then after I showed
her some sample canvases, she decided that she wanted to give her Mother two framed canvases and some smaller prints as Christmas presents.
With all of the preparation, it was easier to plan the shoot. When the day of the photo shoot arrived, it was fun to take and create a variety of poses.
One of my favorite parts of the shoot was the pictures of Amy and her daughter Noelle which showed so much love between them. After delivering
Amy's Christmas order, we made plans for additional photo sessions with additional family members. Amy also told me that her mother really loved the
canvases which let me know that I had created special memories for their family!
