When a baby is born, those precious newborn pictures are best done within the first two weeks.  Why you may ask is it so important to be done within that time frame?  If you wait much past the two week time period, it is much harder to get the newborn poses that require a sleeping baby.  Another tip is having a discussion with your photographer about the poses and colors that you would prefer.  Do you like fancy headbands or something simpler? Did someone give you or make you something special that you would like to use during the newborn session. Again discuss your choices with your photographer.  Finally, be open to suggestions that your photograph may give you.  With you and your photographer working together, your newborn session will capture this special time in your baby's life!
